Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Nettro ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). By using Nettro, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We do not store your password in plain text.
Shopify store data. If you connect a Shopify store, we access data you authorize through Shopify's API, such as product details, pricing, orders, and related store metrics needed to generate recommendations.
Usage data. We may collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features used, recommendation actions (apply, ignore, undo), and technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and device information.
Payment information. When billing is enabled, payment processing is handled by our payment provider (such as Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
2. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Generate and display AI-powered store recommendations
- Process subscriptions and send billing-related communications
- Respond to support requests and improve the Service
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers that help us run Nettro, such as hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), payment processing, and analytics — only as needed to perform their services
- Shopify, as part of the authorized API connection you initiate
- Legal authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required
4. Data retention
We retain your account and store data while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or billing purposes.
5. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
You may:
- Update account details in your dashboard settings
- Disconnect your Shopify store at any time
- Cancel your subscription (see our Refunds & Cancellation Policy)
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing getnettro@gmail.com
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA. We will honor applicable requests in accordance with those laws.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain session security. We may use additional analytics cookies in the future; if we do, we will update this policy and provide appropriate choices where required.
8. Children
Nettro is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us data.
9. International users
If you access Nettro from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to that transfer where permitted by law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
